WPGUMC looks for ways to serve God by serving others. We have a number of service activities in which we participate on a regular basis. Signups for work teams are located at the Service Opportunities tables in the Woodbury Campus Commons and the Peaceful Grove Fellowship Hall.
2nd Mile Offering for Grace Children’s Hospital
On Sunday, June 23, our Second Mile Offering will be collected for Grace Children’s Hospital in Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere. Its children endure lives impoverished not only by the lack of money, education and adequate housing, but also by the lack of available health care. Grace Children’s Hospital is the flagship ministry of International Child Care (ICC), serving children with tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, malnutrition and other diseases. The earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010 severely damaged the hospital, and even though hospital operations have continued, extensive rebuilding is required. John McBride will be in worship at Woodbury on June 23 to speak about Grace and the progress being made to rebuild this important community structure. Please pray for those who work and live at Grace Children’s Hospital, that their lives will be blessed by God’ loving touch and by the generosity of WPGUMC.
