Why Should I Contribute by Electronic Funds Transfer?
As we head into the summer months, it is a good time to consider giving to the church through electronic funds transfer (EFT).  This helps our church maintain a steady cash flow during the months when many of us are traveling and unable to attend on Sunday.  EFT can be cancelled at any time, and your contribution can be transferred on the 5th, 15th, or the 30th of the month.  If you have any questions or would like to sign up for EFT please contact the church office at 651-738-0305.

How Do Financial Gifts Support the Church?

Our budget is typical of most churches.  About half goes toward compensation and benefits for the clergy and staff. About a third pays for buildings, property, maintenance, utilities and office expenses. Ten to 15 percent goes to apportionments. (Some of these are “fixed” costs than cannot be easily reduced). That leaves less than 10 percent of our budget for programming, office technology and supplies, communications, missions and activities – the kinds of things we all want and that help attract and keep members. Therefore, growth in contributions is needed in order to increase staff and programs.

Do we charge families for having their kids in Creation Station?

We do not charge for our weekly Creation Station program for kids.  The church expense for a child in Creation Station is $310.

Does the FROG/Confirmation registration fee cover the cost of that program?

No.  The registration fee only covers the cost of the annual retreat or special day for each grade level.  The church expense per youth in FROG/Confirmation is $735.

What are Apportionments?

Apportionments are our payment to the United Methodist denomination to support connected ministry resources, church growth, planning, missions and outreach. We benefit in many ways from being part of the United Methodist denominational network and we are committed to making our apportionments a budget priority.
